I bought my first brand new car from Kia of Puyallup and I've never regretted it.
First, I sent in an internet inquiry and someone promptly emailed me back. There was never any pushy sales guy and I had all my homework done, a solid price that I would settle on, and a preapproved loan. They negotiated well; they beat every other dealer in the area, even when it came down to just pennies and I ended up paying less than my price point, less than True Car, less than Kelly Blue Book, less than anywhere else. I have a wonderful car that they shipped in for me from Oregon (which was exactly what I wanted; I was very picky), gave me a bunch of freebies, and overall, it was a pleasant and easy experience.
Absolutely not shady, just read all forms you sign and make copies for reference, as with any place you are about to drop more than twenty grand on. Wonderful, I'll probably buy my next car from them next time.-Megan
