Pierce Transit is asking for another .3% increase in the sales tax. Prop 1 will make Pierce County home to the highest sales tax on the West Coast and raise the auto sales tax to 10.1%. This will put Tacoma and surrounding communities at a competitive disadvantage when attempting to attract and retain businesses.
